Their version of the game just doesn't work. The origin version of the game comes with both Bin32 and Bin64 folders and on my Win7 bit system, the bit version automatically launches assuming you launch from the desktop shortcut and not from the origin interface. Origin's version of the game actually loads! I'm having some underscan issues on my HDMI monitor and I can't get vsync to turn on, but at least it works. I didn't need to mod any files or mess with compatibility modes.
It works right out of the box Originally posted by abrensons :. Yamakasi View Profile View Posts. I'm not sure if it's an issue that occurs only with AMD cards, but that's possible. I actually already knew that, but what I didn't know was that I had to adjust the overscan for the various refresh rates as well.
For some reason Crysis runs in 50Hz as opposed to 60hz. So I set my monitor to p 50z and adjusted the scaling then reverted my desktop back to p 60hz which is my native resolution and refresh rate. After that, I launched the game and the underscan was gone. I also solved the Vsync issue. Apprently there are patches that Crytek released which added in-game Vsync options.
Prior to the updates you needed to use a command console to enable vsync which didn't work for me. There are a total of three patches, but you only need to install 1. It'll help a lot. I would have been pissed if my copy didn't work. Nothing of this works for me sadly. None of these worked for me but I knew I was able to run Crysis some time ago. For whatever reason I had played a few minutes after buying it on sale and decided to come back to it later. At this point I was already using the bin64 solution so I left it that way.
Updated the OP to reflect some new solutions that have emerged. Joined Dec 1, Messages I was having this issue. I think that it was fixed after patching it and reinstalling. Ill check to make sure that my version is running when I get home and see if I can remember what I did to make it work. I do remember that I had about an hour of frustration trying to make it work.
Note that I can play this game. The game will start up. But if I change anything in options, is when it crashes. Joined Jul 19, Messages 1, I can run both the 64 bit and 32 bit versions of Crysis without any issues, I even run a Crysis trainer with it. ZodaEX Supreme [H]ardness. I think this has to do with Crysis crashing when the video is set to interlaced. Saint n00b. Joined Aug 31, Messages Compatibility mode? Put it in XP compatibility and it usually fixes everything.. Roberty [H]F Junkie. Joined Nov 30, Messages 14, You did re-install Crysis after updating to Windows 7 and start a new game - correct? Make sure you are patched to the latest version also.
I just re-installed Crysis Warhead and it ran fine and changed settings fine after updating to 7 Pro 64 bit. I haven't tried the original Crysis yet. Mine was a clean install of windows 7. Windows was patched before crysis was installed. I've installed all 3 patches. GladiatorYU n00b. Joined Nov 12, Messages 3. And for the person that said that it's a "hardware" issue, really do some research next time. Everyone is having a problem running Crysis in 64bit on Vista and Seven, due to it installing in the WOW64 emulated program files folder.
I am currently working on a way to fix this, but I doubt it's fixable. I don't have 8GB of memory to not use it on this game. LOL install RMT build 64bit and everything will work just fine i don't have any issues at all with games or i see explanation to it is your fingers are broken LOL :woot:. Search In.
