TobiasHD Standard Member. I don't know if this is applicable when using TVersity. Which is highly annoying as all my. The also doesn't play. Last edited: Mar 11, PrOdiGy1 Member. I have had absolutely no luck at all getting mkv's to work on the via Tversity. I have tried loads of different settings in the options, different codec packs etc, all sorts.
Good luck! Weirdo Guest. Try XenonMKV it will convert them to mp4 files and split them smaller than the 4GB file size limit for that file type. Only Stereo sound though. Tversity doesnt stream mkv over a certain size?
Tversity will stream it but the xbox wont play it? Heres another thing, the PC has windows media ctr on it, the files play perfectly in there, when I go the the windows media ctr on the xbox, they still dont play?
Shall i just give up?! At that same time the server is discovering the make and model of your media player so that it can better serve it. At this point the media library should not be empty so you will be able to access some content. Use your remote to navigate the menus, and find some media items. In order to overcome this, TVersity Media Server will show under saved playlists not only your music playlists but also Internet podcasts, under songs not only your music tracks but also Internet audio streams.
The does allow full library navigation for photos and for videos. Given the Xbox above mentioned restrictions, if you wish to better organize Internet content on the Xbox , you can place it in a playlist.
Out of all the solutions available for console streaming TwonkyMedia, Nero MediaHome and Windows Media Player 11 I have found that Tversity is the most complete, full-featured option currently available. The main benefit of TVersity is its ability to transcode media into a format the client device can process.
This is a problem because the majority of content available on the Internet is in alternative and open formats such as Xvid, Divx, and x This guide will explain how to optimize TVersity to stream these formats at the best quality possible. Most of my information came from readmeblog click here for blog source , searching forums and trial and error.
The goal here is not to take credit for discovering the optimal settings for streaming media with TVersity, but to get everything down one place, written in a clean, concise fashion. The number one reason people have problems with TVersity is that the codecs installed on their system are not in order.
The first thing to do is to get rid of all the disparate codecs installed on your system. This includes stand-alone Xvid, etc. The first time I did this I ended up wiping my machine and doing a fresh install of Windows because I had so many bogus codec packs infested in my system. CCCP is an organized collection which contains all the codecs and tools you will ever need to decode the various media formats out there. It is recommended that you first run the CCCP Insurgent tool to verify there are no lingering codec packs on your system.
After you ensure your system is clean, install CCCP and reboot. Here you can find a tutorial how to stream. Download and Install TVersity 0.
Download and Install Haali Media Splitter 5. Download and Install AC3 Filter 1. Restart your computer. Startup TVersity and go to the Settings Tab 8. Choose "Xbox " as Media Playback Device 9. Move to the Transcoder Settings and change them check my link, there you can find a table with the correct settings That's all Please let me know if that works.
Thanks, will give it a go. How do i remove all codecs from my system and wheres your link? Contact Us VideoHelp Top.
